Make Plans to Attend Pediatric GI, Hepatology and Nutrition Conference April 8

The 2022 Heartland Pediatric GI, Hepatology and Nutrition Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 8, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Glow Auditorium, Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, third floor. This annual conference will feature a hybrid format this year with both in-person and virtual options for participation until social distancing room capacity is met. (Participation/viewing options are subject to change.)

This event will feature thought-provoking discussions and case presentations by GI specialists and multidisciplinary care teams. The target audience includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, dietitians, social workers, medical assistants and health care providers working with GI disorders in the pediatric population.

The conference will feature a Grand Rounds/keynote presentation, “Impact of Nutrition Status in Children” by Mark Corkins, M.D., pediatric gastroenterologist at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Additional topics include:

  • Assessment and Treatment of Childhood Obesity in a Multidisciplinary Weight Management Program
  • Utilization of Nutritional Assessment in Admitted Patients
  • Treatment and Management of Intestinal Failure
